Project Overview
We successfully supported the Ministry of Defence (MoD) by delivering a comprehensive suite of temporary welfare structures at one of their primary operational sites in Manston, Kent. The brief was to maintain business continuity, ensuring personnel could operate safely, comfortably and efficiently while a major, long-term infrastructure project was underway.
In total, we built eight bespoke structures tailored to a diverse range of critical applications. These included dedicated reception and waiting areas, high-capacity catering facilities, welcoming family support zones and fully functional operational office spaces. Each structure was designed and fitted out specifically for its intended use.. this was not a one-size-fits-all deployment.
Every structure was equipped with advanced full climate control systems and a complete turnkey fit-out, covering all interior furniture, essential office equipment, advanced AV systems and integrated utility electronics, all managed and installed by our team.

Key Features
Each of the eight structures was built using our robust solid wall system, chosen for its strength, security and insulation performance in a year-round operational setting. Levelled sub-frame floors were installed throughout, creating a safe and seamless working environment regardless of the ground conditions on site.
The fit-out scope on this project was significant. Beyond the structures themselves, our team managed the complete interior installation — covering seating and soft furnishings in the family and waiting areas, full desk and office equipment setup in the operational spaces, professional AV systems including screens and sound, and integrated utility electronics across all units. Play areas were also included in the family support zones to serve personnel with children during the operational period.
